Most of the time, vomiting in children is caused by gastroenteritis, usually due to a virus infecting the gastrointestinal tract. (Gastroenteritis is sometimes called the "stomach flu," which can also cause nausea and diarrhea.) These infections often don't last long and are more disruptive than dangerous . |

- Intake of poisonous substances
- Overeating
- Food poisoning
- Pregnancy
- Peptic ulcers
- Gastroenteritis
- Use of certain drugs
- Upset stomach
- Ridiculous sights
- Drinking alcohol in excessive quantities
- Surgery
- Kidney failure

- Difficulty in swallowing food or liquid

Vomitng Home remedies |

- Take 2 cardamoms and roast them on a dry pan (tava). Powder the cardamoms and thereafter add a tsp of honey in it. Consume it frequently. It serves as a fabulous home remedy for vomiting.
- In the mixture of 1 tsp of mint juice and 1 tsp limejuice, add ½ tsp of ginger juice and 1 tsp honey. Drink this mixture to prevent vomiting.
- Limejuice is an effective remedy for vomiting. Take a glass of chilled limejuice and sip slowly.
- To prevent vomiting, drink ginger tea.
- In 1 glass water, add some honey and drink sip by sip.

Your most important intervention may be a calm approach - vomiting is frightening for young children (and parents, too) and exhausting for children of all ages. Offering plenty of reassurance to your child and taking appropriate measures to prevent dehydration are key for a quick recovery. |
