Care for your ears
It's important to take good care of your ears. Most of the interesting things that happen in your ears don't happen in the parts that you can see.

Keep them clean
The best way to keep your ears healthy both outside and inside, is to wash them every day. It can be done by washing with a soapy washcloth. Or you can take a shower and hold your head under the shower spray so the water goes in your ear, and shake it out afterwards. If you think you have wax or dirt on the inside of your ear, you can drip hydrogen per¬oxide mixed with a little bit of water into the ear. It will help dissolve and rinse out whatever is bothering you. Never use cotton swabs, fingernails or sharp objects to clean ears because this could cause injury.

Pierced ears
When you first get your ears pierced, you shouldn't take out the earrings until your ears are completely healed. It's very important to keep your ear from getting infected. To keep piercings clean and healthy, dip a cotton ball in alcohol and put it on both sides of the hole (with the earring in). Then twirl the earring several times to make sure the alcohol gets in and around the earring post.
