Diabetes is a disease caused when the body doesn't make enough insulin or can't use the insulin it makes. As a result, glucose builds up in the bloodstream. If left untreated, diabetes can lead to blindness, kidney disease, nerve disease, heart disease, and stroke. |

According to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), 15.7 million Americans—nearly 6% of the population—have diabetes. India is having maximum number of Diabetes patients.
There are two major types of diabetes mellitus:
Type 1— known as insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM). It is also known as juvenile diabetes and Childhood-onset diabetes. Type I diabetes is due to a deficiency or failure of the pancreas to secrete insulin. It occurs when the pancreas fails to produce adequate insulin, the hormone used by the body to make blood sugar (glucose) available to cells.

- The patient tends to feel hungry and thirsty most of the time.
- The patient does not put on weight
- The patient gets tired easily.
- The patient looks pale
- The patient usually suffers from constipation problem
- The patient has less craving for sex
- The patient gets itching around the genital organs
- The patient generally feels very weak

Take 15 fresh mango leaves and boil them in 1 glass of water. Keep them overnight. Filter and drink the next morning.

As a part of diabetes home remedy treatment, grapefruit is considered most beneficial. Eat three grapefruits three times in a day.

Indian gooseberry, a rich source of vitamin C serves as the best home remedy for diabetes. Take 1 tbsp of gooseberry juice and mix it with a cup of bitter gourd juice. Consume the mixture daily for about 2 months.

People with type 2 diabetes who exercise regularly have been shown to lose weight and gain better control over their blood pressure, thereby reducing their risk for cardiovascular disease (a major complication of diabetes). Studies have also shown that people with type 1 diabetes who regularly exercise reduce their need for insulin injections.
